BPI, AgSTAR Announcements

BPI News

The Biodegradable Products Institute’s (BPI) Stakeholder Members are entities with an interest in BPI’s mission and the broader effort to keep organics out of landfills, but who don’t currently certify materials, products or packaging. Examples include: brands, retailers, universities, composters, municipalities, restaurants, nongovernmental organizations, consultants, and manufacturers or resellers that haven’t yet certified products or materials. As part of a recent strategic expansion, BPI members voted to formalize this new class of membership to bring perspectives from across the value chain to the conversations happening inside of BPI. The new class of membership is free to composters and municipalities that join.

A new three-pillar model of Certification, Education, and Advocacy is creating platforms to address the many issues facing organics diversion today. BPI is actively seeking new Stakeholder Members to participate. If you are interested, click here for more information, or send an email.
